We've found that two components are essential to successful distance education. One is live, on-the-spot interaction with teachers and fellow students. The other is a schedule that keeps you moving along.
The Academy takes a unique approach to home study: our courses are four to eight weeks long, meeting once each week for live lectures and discussions online. Students have direct access to talk with master teachers and with each other. Homework assignments keep students engaged all week, and the course sets the pace to keep everyone on track.
Our curriculum is comprehensive and in-depth, taking students step by step from the very beginning. Each of the three levels in the curriculum begins with a Foundations course, after which students can take any course at that level, in any order. Students with previous training are welcome to start at the level appropriate for them.

The Academy Student’s Experience
Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and approach their homeopathic education in their own individual ways. Some take one course at a time; some take several simultaneously. Some students come for a complete training program, while others come to learn a specific set of skills. Still others have already trained elsewhere and come to the Academy to continue their training or to brush up on a few particular areas. The Academy's teachers are fully credentialed in homeopathy and are highly experienced both as practitioners and as teachers. Because of the live online class format, students and teachers come to know each other well. Collegial friendships and mentoring are an important part of an Academy education.
Students generally devote between 6 and 8 hours per week to each course. All class meetings are recorded and are available for review until the end of the course. Homework assignments reinforce the skills and material introduced in class, with activities like reading, research, writing, online discussions, exercises, hands-on case practice, and special projects. The curriculum is designed to access the widest array of learning styles and to develop the whole complex of skills and qualities that a professional homeopath needs.
