Introduction to Chronic Miasms
Hahnemann's experience with homeopathy led him to the theory of miasms as the foundation of all disease. An understanding of miasms opens the door to deeper and more lasting work in homeopathy. Using miasmatic analysis, we can perceive each case more accurately, understand remedies more fully, and achieve greater success in our practice. A detailed study of Hahnemann’s theory of the chronic miasms and its application in practice, this course examines Hahnemann’s three original miasms and two others identified since Hahnemann's time. Case studies and practical examples provide hands-on practice as students develop confidence in using miasm theory to analyze cases, study remedies, project prognosis, and manage cases over time.
Prerequisite: Foundations of Classical Homeopathy I or the equivalent.
Books required:
Samuel Hahnemann, Chronic Diseases (only the theoretical section is required)
Henny Heudens-Mast, The Foundation of the Chronic Miasms in the Practice of Homeopathy
